Jeremy Steinberg made his first appearance at a national venue in 1996 at the USDF Young Rider Championship where he earned individual Gold and helped to win the Team Silver for Region 6.  Since then, he has gained much attention in regional and national dressage press as “one to watch” among world class US competitors.  He has been featured by numerous magazines over the years.  For more than a dozen years, Jeremy trained with the late Dietrich von Hopffgarten.  Jeremy also rode at the Gestut Vorwerk in Germany, training with Martina and Raif Hannover, long time pupils of the late Herbert Rehbein.  Jeremy now trains annually with Guenter Seidel and USET  Coach Klaus Balkenhol, along with Debbie Mcdonald whenever the opportunity arises.  Jeremy teaches daily lessons to riders of all levels, as well as riding up to 10 horses a day, training and showing horses from Training Level through Grand Prix. Jeremy enjoys teaching, emphasizing an environment conducive to learning classical dressage and good horsemanship.  His goal is for students to understand the basic philosophies of dressage, enabling them to work successfully with their own horses.

Shauntel Bryant has been very successful in local and regional shows, bringing home numerous championships. In early 2008 Jeremy and his partner Shauntel combined businesses and formed Steinberg-Bryant Dressage. Jeremy and Shauntel currently operate their business at KGF Equestrian in Kirkland Washington and teach a wide range of horses and riders of all levels and breeds.

2012 Updates

February 23, 2012

This is to remind you that it is time to rejoin ODS and State of Jefferson Chapter for the 2012 year. There is still time to be included in our activities for 2012.

We started the year with a Social, our annual end of the year party at the home of Art and Sonja Biada on January 14.  The gathering was fun for all and the food was delicious as always.

Coming up are four clinics with Jutta Schott.  These will be held at Destination’s End in Talent OR on April 14-15, May 26-27, July 21-22, and August 11-12.  Auditors are always welcome at no charge. Contact Carol Taylor <2taylors@dishmail.net> for more information.  If you would like to ride in April you should let me know now.

Two League Shows will be presented again;   The Aloha Show on August 26  will be held at Cygnet Farm on Wagner Creek Road in Talent OR this year.  The Great Pumpkin Show in October has been canceled for this year due to our big licensed show on Oct. 13-14 (see below)  We will be sponsoring the April 28 League Show at Cygnet Farm.  More to come on that…  Contact Elaine Thomas <selainet@gmail.com> for more information.

We are having a fully licensed DRESSAGE IN THE STATE OF JEFFERSON Dressage Competition once again on October 13-14 to kick off the 2013 dressage show season for our local riders.  The show committee is already hard at work preparing to make this our best show ever.  Contact Sherry Walker sherry@walker-group.com to volunteer your help.

We are presenting a special educational activity, an Adult Amateur Dressage Camp  featuring Jeremy Steinberg and Shauntel Bryant.  It will be at the end of July on the 26th, 27th and 28th with more information to come.

Alternating months are Board Meetings and Member Socials.   March 15th will be a member social evening meeting featuring Tina Hutton and will be held at the Jacksonville Library Community Room at 7 pm.  See notice for more information.

We hope you will be rejoining our chapter for the 2012 year and we will be seeing you soon.  If you have already rejoined please let me know (Carol <2taylors@dishmail.net>)and I will update your membership.
